Strategy
Ironhold Command
★★★★☆ 4.4
Ironhold Command scratches the itch for a strategy game you can play in short bursts and still feel clever. You build up a stronghold, balance resources, and send out expeditions that resolve over real time. It's less about frantic clicking and more about smart decisions.
The campaign has a surprising amount of texture — factions with distinct playstyles, terrain that actually matters, and a difficulty curve that respects you. I lost a couple of expeditions early and it taught me to scout first, which is exactly what a good strategy game should do.
It can get slow if you're impatient, but if planning is your thing, it's a keeper.
